Request advice and support from the Clinical Advisory Service

We have a Clinical Advisory Service for EMS assessors requesting equipment and/or modification services.

This service offers EMS assessors support with decision-making and clinical reasoning, such as:

  • Clinical or technical advice on solutions to meet the person’s disability-related needs.

  • Advice on Disability Support Services operational policy, eligibility and access criteria.

  • Education (either formal or informal). Focused education on topical subject matters, to support your clinical or professional development.

Our expert team are qualified and experienced Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, an Audiologist and an Optometrist who are based around New Zealand; all our practitioners are New Zealand registered and hold current annual practising certificates.

Our Clinical Service Advisors may suggest asking the person who is being assessed, their family, whānau or caregivers, or other support persons to provide further information in case discussion (with the person’s permission).
