Information for EMS Assessors and Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora staff applying for Health New Zealand service accreditation.

Items available under Health New Zealand service accreditation include:

  • personal care equipment (bath boards, toilet frames, shower stools)

  • household management equipment (furniture raisers, kitchen trolleys)

  • mobility equipment (walking frames, rollators).

Enable New Zealand and AccessAble provide Health New Zealand service accreditation list equipment for Disability Support Services (formally services under Whaikaha - Ministry of Disabled People).

Who is eligible?

Health New Zealand staff and EMS assessors who have completed a Health New Zealand service accreditation training programme.

What are the accreditation requirements?

You will need to:

You will need to:

  • complete the Core Module online

  • complete your Health New Zealand service accreditation training

  • make 2 service requests supervised by a Health New Zealand colleague.

Your Health New Zealand service accreditation manager will notify us when you have completed the requirements.

When does this accreditation expire?

This accreditation does not expire but you must keep up to date with the Disability Support Services accreditation changes.
