The Vision (Spectacles) category covers the following:
Provision of the children’s spectacle subsidy for eligible children aged 15 and under.
The subsidy can be claimed for:
eye examinations
spectacles (frames and lenses)
eye patches
repairs.
Who is eligible?
The following health professionals can apply for accreditation:
optometrists
ophthalmologists.
What are the accreditation requirements?
You will need to:
have your application verified by your employer/supervisor.
When does this accreditation expire?
This accreditation does not expire. But you must keep up to date with all Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People accreditation changes.
