As a vehicle and modifications assessor, you can assess a person for consideration of:
the purchase of an appropriate vehicle
equipment to be installed in a vehicle
modifications to a vehicle.
Level 1 of this 2-level credential allows you to assess people who may need the following:
seating and seat belt changes to enable the person to drive a vehicle safely and/or be a passenger in the vehicle
wheelchair storage to achieve independence
a ramp, hoist or other vehicle adaptation to be a passenger in a vehicle while seated in a wheelchair.

Where to start?
You will need to:
register in EMS Assessor Online and complete the online Core Module (if not already done)
find a supervisor (contact us if you need help)
apply for provisional accreditation for Vehicle Purchase & Modifications Level 1.
When you have met all the requirements, you can apply to add the credential to your assessor account.
