We are pleased to welcome Scott Ambridge back to the Enable New Zealand whānau as our new Chief Executive.
Driven by a fundamental belief that we "exist to serve", Scott brings strong leadership and a long history serving the health and disability sectors. This includes holding senior roles within the MidCentral and three lower north island districts - Capital and Coast, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa for Te Whatu Ora | Health New Zealand, and leading earlier iterations of Enable New Zealand up until 2019. Scott joins us from Te Whatu Ora Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District where he is the Acting Executive Director Mental Health, Addiction and Intellectual Disability Services (MHAIDS).
Scott is an experienced senior executive, has strong partnerships that drive strategy and a leadership style that brings an organisation together to achieve success. We are excited for Scott’s passion for the sector and the community we serve to drive Enable New Zealand forward now and into the future.
Scott replaces former CE Michelle Riwai, who stepped down in December 2023 after leading the organisation for close to four years. Scott will start in the role on 6 May 2024.
