International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2021

Today is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, an opportunity to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilise support for the dignity, rights, and well-being of disabled people.

The theme for 2021 is Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities towards an inclusive, accessible and sustainable Covid world.

If you’re looking for a way to celebrate the day, Te Pou are hosting a livestream at 12pm today where you'll hear from a variety of people in the disabled community and enjoy entertainment from The Mutes From Mars, PHAB, TouchCompass and more: https://www.tepou.co.nz/events/idpwd-2021 (external website)
