ACC-funded housing modifications for injured people
Enable New Zealand is a specialist housing services provider for ACC. We help ACC make changes to a person’s home to help with the effects of an injury.
An occupational therapist (housing assessor for ACC) assesses the person’s environment and injury-related needs. Depending on what the person needs we might:
put in handrails and access ramps
widen doorways
install low-rise lifts
change kitchens, bathrooms or laundries.
Our ACC housing service covers these regions: Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Wanganui, Wellington, Tasman, Nelson and Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland.
